DONATIONS

The Tarija Bouchard Seizure and Brain Injury Awards Of Recognition: Volunteer of the Year and Client of the Year.

These awards will be presented at our Annual General Meeting alongside Tarija’s family and friends, in a monetary gift, award, and a plaque that will be displayed at the Centre with Tarija’s picture and the names of the recipients posted for all to reflect on Tarija’s past contributions to the Seizure and Brain Injury Centre.

The recipients of these annual awards will go to individuals who have gone above and beyond for the Centre that year in a volunteer capacity and to a client who has shown growth and achievement in their goals and has made connections through the Centre’s services. We know that these recipients will show gratitude and pride in receiving these awards and it will motivate them to continue to grow.

Tarija was so many things to so many people. At the Centre she was a dedicated volunteer, a gracious friend, and a lovely client. She was a beloved family member wife to Ron and mother to Jessica & Katrina, a sister to Tuula & Tina and a friend many! Tarija was an RN at Timmins & District Hospital and had many friends.

On February 26, 2022 Tarija passed away. For 20 years she battled brain cancer and epilepsy. And she fought to see her children grow up. She fought to the end. And she did it gracefully.

To all who have contributed to these awards through tributes and donations we thank you for making these awards possible. To the Gosselin family who have generously donated the plaques that will allow us to add the names of the recipients each year, thank you!

Tarija will be missed by all.
